Why does Ultram give me power and motivation?

I started ultram 6 days ago. Since I started the first two days I threw up. I feel nausea constantly, my vision is blurred and I asm extremly hot and tired all the time. I also have a very poor memory since I started. Like someone ask's me to fo something for them and within minutes I forget ehat I am supposed to do. I am in constant pain, the ultram doesnt seem to work at all. I was on percocet but he took me off and put me on ultram, and it's horrible. I dont even feel normal. Any help here??? has anyone else taken ultram and it doesn't work for them? (I have severe lower back pain and numbness or tingling in my right quad) I can't live like this. What am I suppose to do? any suggestions? Just a note: this medicine was perscribed to me by a pain managment doctor. Since a I have a bulging disk in my back that is pinching a nerve, no pain medecine at all is not an option for me. I need to be able to function as a single mother of teo young children. i am a 37yof i have a long list of diagnoisis i have lupus, i have gastro issues-diverticulitis,ibs,and something about fatty liver,radiculapathy,neuropathy,herniated and bulging discs i've had cervical fusion( which they want to go back in because they said they needed to fuse more)they said there is no point to fuse lumbar i've had the series of cervical-lumbar epidural,facet blocks,trigger points by 3 doctors in pain management to no avail, they said there is nothing left to do for me i already have had the medication route the oxycotin,percocet-15,fentayl patch-100mcg-kadian-100mg,ultram for years(i've been dealing with this since 03-mva)-i had the ulna surgery to help alleviate pressure approx 6 month ago and my arms are burning,numbing stabbing pain doc says its nerves growing back but it feels like the same pain. Other doctors won't touch me but to prescribe meds isn't there something i can do on a daily my pain level is hovering at 7 my lupus flares it is horrid isn't there something or someone who can help me, its horrible not being in control of your body. I was in therapy but was d/c'd because more damage was occuring if sheep can be cloned why can't i be fixed- they know where it is and why it is but they aren't doing anything. Where do i go next-pls don't say to my pcp he's the one who sent me to these specialist for the last 6yrs and he says he's the hub and collects the info but its beyond his realm, iam frustrated and tired, there are a few other issues but they relate to the lupus(clotting)and gastro. also i've had headaches for the last 6yrs almost everyday they said its the nerve in my shoulder being aggravated. Serious replies please(i apologize for the spelling) PS Lately i've been having short-term memory issues they say may be a result of medication(i no longer take the oxycotin/fentayl) it feels as though they are being glib what do u think. If you are a doctor in the southern nj area and specialize in pain management or think you can help me i will make an appointment asap for a consult i just want to feel like me again *i have mri's once a year, i've done aquatic,steriod injections, i have bloodwork monthly(inflammation level is high)i have a rhuemy,gasto,ortho,pain manage,chiro(had to stop mani furthered fx previously undetected)pulmonary,accupunturist,i've triedholistic supplements-cal,iron,folic,vitamin d,also predinisone,and methatrexate. i've even smoked weed to help but that is temporary at best(it does help stimulate my appetite,which is poor,meds make me so sick,dizzy&vomit and i didn't have to go to the hospital as much for dehydration etc,yes all docs know i smoke when my days pain begins at a 10,i smoke half maybe and it helps me sleep thru it sometimes. last time i went to the hospital with a l-flare it took 4 days to medicate. the only thing i haven't tried was the pain vision workshop crazy the believe in giving ur pain a name and a color and visualization therapy i know what my pain looks like im just looking for a new direction.
