Sulfasalazine FAQ
what can i do for rheaumatoid arthritis pain?
i have no income or insurance. i have been going to my local health department, the dr. there put me on azulfidine, i can't take methotrexate, he did give me steroids for when i have bad flare ups with the swelling, i am just taking the azulfidine right now, and i am having terrible body aches and my knees are hurting real bad. my fingers are what usually swell and are painful, and the steriods help take the swelling away from them, but now my knees are hurting bad. my back gave away from me the other day while i was making the bed and i fell face first on the bed, i went to the e.r., and they gave me a shot of something, then a prescription for motrin, which i told them that made me sick to my stomach, they told me to just take tylenol. that doesn't even begin to help the pain. what can i do? and also, can the weather effect my pain?
Does anyone take this drug, Sulfasalazine?I have been on Sulfasalazine (generic for Azulfidine) for years off and on for Ulcerative Colitis, my disease is very mild but I noticed last year that I started to get headaches and now they have got worse. Does anyone else have headaches with this drug? I appreciate your answers.
